Brandweer zonder Grenzen

Brandweer zonder Grenzen

Helping others to help... that is the goal of Firefighters Without Borders. We do this by building networks with fire brigades all over the world and supporting them with used but good Dutch fire fighting equipment and materials. Firefire Without Borders also provides instruction or knowledge transfer. In addition, the Foundation can also act as a mediator between supply and demand.

Firefighters without Borders is led by people who work in daily life in fire brigades from various Safety Regions and the BOGO. They do this in their spare time. In addition, the Foundation is supported by various firefighters from all over the country who are also committed to their colleagues abroad free of charge.

The Firefighters without Borders Foundation was founded in 2007 and has since completed several missions worldwide, from Sri Lanka to the Philippines and from Hungary to Madagascar. Over the years, we have been active in Bosnia, Ukraine, the Philippines, Benin, Sri Lanka, Kyrgyzstan, Guatemala, Paraguay and Laos. In addition to these projects, we have supported projects in Ghana, The Gambia, Madagascar, Poland and Hungary.

We work with a limited number of countries. This is necessary to keep the work feasible, but even more important is that we can better return our resources (knowledge, money, time and energy) in this way. A long-term relationship is therefore important to us.

The Firefighters Without Borders are currently working on missions in Paraguay and Ukraine. Missions in Cape Verde, Indonesia and Serbia are also in preparation.
